Our shelter is located in La Linea, Spain. We have more than 200 podencos andaluz in the shelter, now and than a podenco ibicenco. One of our podencos is living in Boston now, the woman who adopted the podenco moved there. You can search for ibizanhoundrescue, or galgonews i know some podencos went to the us, but i think they came and pick them up themselves.

Creo que ustedes están transmitiendo una idea falsa , mentiras, sobre los podencos y España. Probablemente muchas de las imágenes que están mostrando son de animales atropellados por vehículos en carreteras, atacados por otros perros de presa, atacados por jabalíes, Y algunos de esos grupos de perros abandonados, esqueléticos sean perros robados por mafias y gente quelos oculta y se los lleva fuera de españa para venderlos, y son encontrados por la policia en lamentables condiciones

@davidindalico You are an idiot. I have thousands of pictures of mistreated and abandoned podencos from all over spain, they are all abandoned by you fucking hunters. Yes and they are hit by cars because the hunters leave them behind and throw them away like garbage. And the cut off legs are of the use of forbidden steel traps by hunters.. You don't know shit, we have hundred of sources, we know exactly what they do to podencos. But don't forget: You Reap What You Sow!

Podencos are wonderful dogs and they deserve a better live as some spanish hunters are able and willing to give them. The worst answer I've ever heard from one of this monsters is that Podencos will be unhappy outside from Spain because they will not go hunting. That is a sheer mockery! I know many Podencos living now in a cultivated environment and they are so thankful. Please adopte Podencos and more important make pressure in a political way. I was often in spain and I saw the horror!

Gracias a los que rescatais podencos para llevarlos fuera de este infierno que es España, aquí pasan meses, años, en las protectoras esperando que alguien se fije en ellos... de las perreras ni hablamos porque se los liquidan enseguida :(

Not only dogs are severely mistreated in Spain. In the name of "tradition", thousands of animals (bulls, birds, donkeys, etc) are tortured during their "fiestas". Look on the internet for Toro de la Vega ,p.e I haven't seen much honor, nor respect for animals in this country. And yes afortunately every day more spaniards are becoming aware that there is still a long, long way to go in animal rights.
