@BenMuzzy I just need to say this. The "shakyness" is her vibrato.
Eden Espinosa, Julia Murney and many other Elphabas have one. Having it doesnt mean you lack vocal skill.

@DefyingGravityOz Sorry, I just need to ask, but which note are we talking about Jemma hitting? The Patrice note on "im flying high deFYing gravity" or the original note that Idina used?
Or neither, because the conversation is making me confused.

I feel as though the orchestra feels more at liberty to crank it when Patrice is singing, because they never seem this loud....EVER.

I think that both Jemma and Patrice are good in different ways, and although i prefer Jemma i think people should let people think what they want to think!

@gezbez Just thought I'd put my own input into it.
Patrice is AMAZING.
Jemma is Elphaba.
I try to watch Wicked at least once a fortnight, and have been lucky to have my fair share of both actresses.
Jemma CAN hit that note. Never seen her miss it.
She isn't playing it safe either, it's extremely hard to get.
Patrice has attempted to do a Jemma and it just doesn't work, vice versa.
They are two great individual singers, Jemma in my opinion is slightly better.
P.S Lucy Durack is the shit!
