Father and Son Trek to the grueling Chilkoot 55km trail. It was a blast and full of history about the Klondike gold rush of the 1897/98 years

  • Yeah I did it when I was 13 or so a couple years ago but the part I liked the best was sheep to happy camp, you go from forest to almost no trees, rise up into higher altitudes and it's all rock, fog and snow within half an hour of when you started. As soon as you cross the summit and get back into treeline altitudes it really is beautiful

  • cool stuff man, I will go there next vacation, I just got me a pathfinder chllkoot edition, didnt know what chilkoot was, so doing some research about the truck I came across info about the tail, thenshifted my research to the trail instead, looks amazing

  • The Alaska side when I hiked last week had HORRIBLE weather, non stop rain, and on the Golden Staircase it had 65 mph winds with freezing rain smacking us in the face. But the Canada side was beautiful, only untill after Happy Camp did it stop raining. I loved the Canada side because it was way more scenic PLUS it had no rain haha.
