In the state of Victoria, Australia on 10th Nov '10 in a televised forum of both major party leaders before 200 Victorian citizen's, a challenge was put to the then Premier of Victoria, John Brumby (Labor). "Would the gross excesses of the recently passed Abortion Reform bill be revisited in the next state Parliament." Premier Brumby's response: unequivocally - No.
I think the Brumby Government lost the state election in November 2010, as several people who voted for decriminalizing were in the abortion group Emily's lost their seats and the member for Bentleigh voted for it and he lost his seat. I was on a Anti Abortion march and Im upset and disgusted for what Mr John Brumby and Mr Ted Baillieu have done.

A 7 News report aired April 2010 indicated staff at Melbourne’s Royal Women’s Hospital are traumatised by increasing numbers of late-term abortions since the Abortion Law Reform Act of 2008. Doctors are trying to repeal the law on conscientious objection. But nurses/pharmacists have even less say... and nowhere to turn – the then Health Minister, Daniel Andrews, said the bill was “important, sensible and straightforward.” Hear another viewpoint on YouTube: A Story About Life (full version)
