What is the dog's name? Diesl? Sage?...boy or girl, how old and weight? My Dane is Mantle (mismarked) and will be 5yrs old Feb 9, 12!! He is 202lbs. I was wondering how you taught him to "hug." I would love to teach Parker (my Dane) that. I saw it done on Oprah once with the Guiness Book of World Records Great Dane (biggest) and did the same trick! Any tips?

This Great Dane is named DANE. Ya youd think it isnt origional, but really it is. He is the only Dane, I know named DANE. Anyway Danes will often jump up and "hug" you if you pat your own shoulders. Weight is the only thing that usually stops them. Dane is 8 and is 175lbs and 37 inches at the shoulder. He is considered Giant even for a dane, so to hear 200+ I would assume your boys hips rear wont hold him really well.
