It also looks like your monitor takes longer to turn on than the Instant Boot. :P

@demonoid1024 Hyphens are used to join words or phrases, dashes are not.
-
Instant boot states what it does...
I use the everytime.
-
@PoshMurder actually it is a dash, HOWEVER because dashes used a veriety of displacement within 1900's, this is a singular dash, therefore called a hyphen.
Dashes were actually used in all shapes within WW1/WW2.

@smartarse001 Not such a smart arse then hmm?
Anyhow, do you mean: i don't know what it's for
or do you mean: i don't know how it works.
Either case, Google S1 and S3 states and get the wikipedia articles covering those things. S1 is active standy (called standby in win7, sleep in previous windows versions) S3 is passive standby (called Hibernate in win7)

I've bought an m-ATX ASRock motherboard yesterday, and I'm loving it already.
Just wanted something cheap to replace a motherboard, which had died over the weekend (malfunctioning thermal sensor), yet I wasn't aware of how feature-packed this would be!
It's absolutely fantastic.

Eirikrye is right, it's neither a dash nor minus, but a hyphen.
The usage is correct to a hyphen, not a dash (it is also too short to be a dash, even an en-dash).
Best demo of IB, a litle iphone happy though :)

Yes it doesn't have any effect on them, it's like asking if you can play games if you use a surge protection.
