@agsevans You didn't cycle the tank. You had a spike in the water and the fish couldn't handle it. Man I wish I got paid for giving advice...I give far too much of it on youtube. Pet store owners don't know shit all about anything. Go to a trusted site like the Goldfish and aquarium board and ask them for advice before making a purchase. They deal in all fish, not just goldies. Good luck.

We bought 3 cold water fish last week, I set the tank up and put w/safe in 4 days b4 we bought the fish, i put a lve plant and a pump in, really lively for about 3days, then all of a sudden they slowed down, one now sleeps in the tree, the other 2 kept sleeping side by side on the bottom of the tank, then this evening, fish wouldn't move at all, the other seemed to be trying to push it,but, it was dead! Don't have a clue wot went wrong, don't want others to die. Does anyone have any ideas?

Fish get Fin Rot by people sticking their hands in the tank too much. So keep little kids away!!

Well - there´s not going to be many articles about maintaining a nice aquarium if we are not going to show anything like that. Then a video about cleaning an aquarium would be nuts too, because a flawless aquarium is not dirty right?. Anyway - don't really care.

Hi - Sorry - i'm really not that skilled. My experience with fish that sit on the bottom is VERY bad and mostly my fish that have done that end up dying very shortly after (within 24 hours). Sorry - hope you get some advice elsewhere.

Hi - Sorry - i think it's already too late for your little fish. To me it sounds like it's already in a near-death-experience.
What you describe could might be fin rot - it's pretty easily fixed with medicine like in the video. There are two types of fin rot. Bacterial and Fungus. I think my problem was fungus.
Hope this helps you a bit - i'm no expert at all.
