This is a perfect example of how Aikido should be practiced. I would say that here in the U.S. there are probably only 6 schools to where the instructor is the real thing. And by the time that student makes it to 2nd degree black belt he or she is as good as this student is. Real Aikido! Too many americinized schools in the state that teach Akido for purposes of recreation, and not as the beautiful art that it is. Oos!
I'm not sure whether you are commenting in general or about this clip.Aikido Yoshinkan was one of the earliest styles to break away from O Sensei.The early styles are powerful and perhaps viewed as 'aggressive'.Later styles are more meditative and concentrate on building Ki and less on self defense.Although our style looks brutal,you will find that the core Aikido values are intact.I agree that there are some styles of Aikido that look completely fake.Don't knock it until you've tried it.
