La gesta del lago Ilmen - The battle of Lake Ilmen (Español-English)

Este vídeo trata sobre la gesta del lago Ilmen, llevada a cabo por la división azul (División 250) o lo que es lo mismo, la división de voluntarios españoles, que lucharon junto a los alemanes del 1941 al 1943. En el avance de las tropas soviéticas, el 290 División de Infantería Alemana queda destrozado y son cercados 543 soldados alemanes. El 10 de enero de 1942 la Compañía de Esquiadores de la División Azul al mando del capitán José Manuel Ordás Rodríguez, cruza el lago para socorrer a la guarnición alemana de Vsvad en la desembocadura del río Lovat, el día 21 de enero. La gesta fue heroíca y los soldados alemanes fueron rescatados. Tras esta hazaña, el ejercito alemán y los altos mandos quedaron admirados por la valentía bravura de los soldados españoles.

This video is about the exploits of Lake Ilmen, conducted by the Blue Division (Division 250) or what is the same, the division of Spanish volunteers who fought alongside the Germans from 1941 to 1943. In advance of Soviet troops, the 290 German Infantry Division was shattered and 543 German soldiers are enclosed. On January 10, 1942 the Company Skiers Blue Division under the command of Captain Jose Manuel Ordaz Rodriguez, across the lake to aid German of Vsvad garrison at the mouth of the river Lovat, on 21 January.
