What a waste of time this film is. A total crock of S___. Read "The Diary of Antonio Pigafetta. Pigafetta was one of the survivors of the battle, and the diarist of the trip. Magellan made the first trip around the world, and never attacked anyone. He was viciously attacked in the Philippines by followers of Lapu Lapu. Lapu Lapu himself did not even take part in the battle. Honoring Lapu Lapu is the same as honoring Pontius Pilate. Since both Jesus and Magellan were spreading the word of God.

In their census conducted in 1582, the island of Cebu had only a total population of 3500 Indians, while Mactan island had 300. Lapu lapu will never be able to gather that so called 1500 warriors. One thing is for sure, Magellan is FOREVER Lapu-lapu;s BITCH!!!! ROFL!

They weren't there to attack. They were there to convert the people or talk about something. Suddenly, Lapu Lapu and his men attacked him. His chances of winning is VERY small or completely no chance at all. They were massacred. So much for the "heroic" battle.

Did you actually know that the natives before had poisoned arrows? When this arrow hit you it will mean sure death because the poison is so strong. Being hit by a bullet from the spaniards is better. Did you also know that the Spanish sword at that time was the one that you will use in fencing? If you compare that to the Kampilan its not as effective. And being outnumbered that badly, they don't have a goddamned chance! You're an uneducated bastard who believes everything.

Where did you get that information? That's what the Philippine government wants you to believe. Do you really think Magellan was that stupid? Or are you just kidding? Even though the Filipinos don't have guns it's not easy to just go there and "burn all the houses" in Mactan. They were ambushed by Lapu Lapu and were outnumbered 1 is to 20 or even more. They didn't have a slight chance of winning.
