I saw him on a split bill w/his 10-yr-old daughter. During one of his numbers, he jammed the rake into this ancient ceiling fan that had never been cleaned, and all this dust blew out and sparks started flying. Then Eugene realized his daughter was crying, and he immediately dropped everything and ran over to see if she was OK. She shoved him off of her, wiped her tears away and furiously growled "EUGENE! SOME OF US AREN'T WEARING GLASSES!" Then she stormed off the stage. Too cool! -- 1b2s
I was actually at this gig. Tin Pan Alley was a little bar in NYC off B'way in the West 40's. Some good bands played there and there was no cover charge to get in. Ah, the memories! Anyway, Vietnam is a good album from that period by these guys. They were funny but also genuinely interesting if you don't mind wildly experimental and demented rock.

I saw these guys at The Jockey Club in Newport KY... they didn't do the rake thing... but they had some other broken down thing they plugged in and played... to about 10 people. It was a really fun and creative show!
what about the electric birdcage, or did I just dream eugene playing that as well.....and where are the B.A.L.L. videos, someone needs to post those, Don Fleming and the Rummager should be represented man
