This video made by doctor Moulay nabil (www.drmoulaynabil.com) gynecologist in rabat Morrocco shows the laparoscopic treatment of a total uterine prolaps by lateral suspension and douglassectomy . The technique consists of three steps. The first step is the application of a polypropylene patch to the posterior surface of the vagina and the rectovaginal septum. The second step is the occlusion of the Douglas Pouch by a running suture The third step is the lateral suspension of the vaginal vault and of the uterus using a polypropylene mesh placed in the vesicovaginal septum as a transversal hammock. The transversal hammock is placed laterally by the tension-free fixation of the mesh to the lateral abdominal wall above the iliac crests This endoscopic procedure is performed in clinique la capitale at Rabat Morrocco (www.lacapitalemaroc.com)
