  • I hear ya, I miss carts too....I guess you can use Flash cards in the same way, sorta. They're easier to stuff in your pocket, and completely edible in case of nosy feds...;)

  • Mitt, my how TV news gathering has changed.

    I have worked in radio news only. And to think I was working hard with a Marazntz tape recorder or mini-disc recorder and then record the sounds on carts...MAN I LOVE CARTS! I even worked with reel to reel--such labor! Makes me love digital systems like Adobe Audition. Y'know people love hybrid cars ( I don't) but I would appreciate a hybrid radio news gathering operation...digital and carts. Sometimes those digi programs crap out!
