Gloves are a hangover from military aviation where may suffer burns. Not needed these days

They're not any old gloves, they're specially made lol.

The gloves seem cumbersome especially when pushing a small button or turning a small knob. Its almost like a dentist wearing gardening gloves.

Very interesting. Beautiful model of helicopter. I'm a little put off now though after the recent crashes including one that killed Colin McRae. RIP Colin.

Pilots wear gloves to get a better grip of the stick, because it can get slippery with sweaty hands.
