  • I heard Roy in the late 1970's when he sang with a group from Braselton, Ga, but can't remember the groups name. His brother sang tenor. Horace Richardson sang bass. Anyone remember the group?

  • @susanb118

It may have the Vicounts...he was in a group by that name for a short time.

  • Dean,

Mylon Lefevre is on bass guitar, right? Why don't you put him on the credits?

  • It's not Mylon -- it's Tim Baty and I just inadvertently left his name off.

  • It's done too fast to be well done. The chuck wagon gang does a much better job with this song. I love the Stamps and JD, but this is not one of their best.

  • Those guys were fantastic. That guitar player is awesome! I always loved this music but never really followed the different groups or individual singers. Of course being an Elvis fan I've come to know the Jordanaires, JD and the Stamps, and the Imperials. I never realized how these groups changed members so often and every member is a fantastic singer in his own right. I just can't get enough. I love it.

  • Of course I won't forget singing lead with Hovie and the Statesmen, and the Prophets on 3 different tenures

  • Roy could step out sing as good as it gets. He also traveled a short while with Jack Fowler and the Fowlers.

  • Were these performances on a regular show back in the 60's and 70's? If so, where can they be bought?

  • I'm a big fan of Roy McNeal, because I know him personally. He's a GREAT guy. Full of stories!

  • Thanks for the GREAT Memories.
