Alameda County Supervisor Alice Lai-Bitker read a poem by Patricia Brown, a member of the community and a domestic violence survivor at a Day of Remembrance event in Oakland, California on Friday, Oct. 26. The poem is called "Little Jenny."

  • that they used was about ten years before the ACFJC existed. This same org also lied about how many clients they have had. They claimed over 20,000, the true number was a little over 3,000. They lied. Lai-Bitker may not have been part of the lie, but she certainly knows about it now, but no public reprimand for anyone involved. No oversight in County Govt, which is something Lai-Bitker could do something about , but NOT A CHANCE, just fatuous BS like this.

  • This issue of domestic violence is being used as a career builder by a LOT of politicos, and, as typical of them, they are lying about what is going on. Alice Lai-Bitker, for example, has been supporting Alameda County's Domestic Violence agency, the Alameda County Family Justice Center. But the center lies about how much good it does. For example, they falsely claimed to have reduced Domestic Violence deaths from about two dozen per year to 6 in 2006, but it turned out, the year for comparison
