good on for putting up a nice lesson....one thing though, when someone is really new to the instrument, it is typically a good idea to hold off from alternate picking, going to fast to early will result in teaching yourself bad habits that will hinder your playing down the road.

thanks for this, it looks easy enough for me (guitar nub) to grasp. Much appreciated!

Thanks for all the lessons! They are great! I'm very new to guitar, but I have to learn this fast bluegrass stuff, because that's what all my pickin buddies play. I need to work on a lot to be able to sit with them and I thank you for giving me a good foundation to work from. Man, you can be fast when you want to be! Keep up the good work!!!

guys tend to be better cuz more guys play guitar so theres a bigger chance but it doesnt matter unless your fingers are just too small :]
-
heya, you should try a few different ways for going up the scales, it also helps

They must be common exercises, I learned them from a friend who plays the electric guitar very fast - I guess what you call shredding? Anyhow, thanks for letting me know.
