The Marines of 3/6 Lima Company, based at Camp Gannon, secure the Iraqi - Syrian border town of Husaybah and the surrounding area during Operation Iron Fist and Operation Steel Curtain from August 2005 to March 2006. Some of the photos in the video were taken by World Photographer Lucian Reed while he was traveling with 3/6. Other photos were taken by the Marines of 3/6 Lima Company. @docrotten1 how does it make the marines look bad? when i say that people should know they had a hard time it doesnt mean they are bad, if anything there bad ass, and plus that was a year ago when i said i was going to the marines and i dont remember saying anything that said disrespectful and plus the only reason i said something one this is becuase i live in ohio my cousin was in lima and im not saying any other company, plutoon or anyother place didnt have it as bad as them

Well support them, but when you say things like "only 6 marines came home from the war" you make marines look bad. There was about 120 Lima Marines when my company relieved them. They got hit and they got hit bad. But the kicked the fuck out of those hadj fucks in Steel curtain and other operations. I never "disrespected" anyone. I'm correcting you. If you can't take a simple correction like that, trust me, you will NEVER make it in the marines. You'll cry and go home in boot camp. now shut up

Lime 3/6 had no where near that amount of casualties. I did 2 tours in iraq in Camp Gannon, Husaybah Iraq. I was with baker 1/7(150 Marines). We took 90 wounded (most recovered fully) and 14 killed in action. My battalion(900 marines) took 29 killed in action and over 170 wounded. you discrace the marines that did die by saying that bullshit you liberal pussy. CNN and the Wall street journal, your liberal news is saying we're winning. so shut your mouth liberal pussy.

In August of 2005, 15 Marines and one support person died. Of the 125 that went over, only 104 came back. Highest fatality rate of any unit in this war to date. My son's company.
