@SAMR33 if you mess with the bass and other settings my 7.1 sounds a lot better than my 2.0 listening to music, well i listen to a lot of techno/dubstep so its not hollow at all

I've received the megalodons a few days ago, the static problem was an easy fix... just turn mic sesn to about half and adjust the mic level for you personally, other than that there great if anyone has any questions about them pm me....

@runnergunner42 they dont come up with names, razer products are all named of different species of animals. Headsets are usually named after marine animals, keyboards named after spiders and mouses named after snakes.

@RRapDiss I own the Razer Orcas and am getting the Megalodons soon. The Orcas have out preformed many (if not all) headsets that i have used in the past (that were for gaming) and its only for music/light gaming with the 2.0 surround etc.... just saying... So before you say waste of money try them out....

waste of money... virtual surround? gaming headset? r u kiddin'? better gets real 7.1 btw razer makes best mouses, keyboards, etc but not gaming headset any senh's hd 5xx will outperform them

using this for a while, the maelstorm engine kinda sux, sounds so hollow~
so i stick with the 2.1 mode~ its pretty good that way~
and its really comfortable to wear for long time gaming too~
