After passing through Cork we headed north towards Dublin. We stopped in Cashel in County Tipperary to visit the famous Rock of Cashel.

The Rock served as the seat of the Kings of Ireland for centuries. Most of the structures standing there today date to the 12th and 13th centuries. There include a cathedral with a stunning barrel vaulted ceiling and an intact round tower.

Music: Loreena McKennitt - La Serenissima

  • Nice, I was there in june 2009 when it was hot and sunny. What a beatifull place, i have made in 9 days vacation in Ireland around 1400 pics.

  • I've thoroughly enjoyed watching all your Irish videos; I feel like I stepped back in time and enjoyed my vacation all over again. You also went to places I wasn't able to go, due to time constraints, so through your video I feel like I got to see it all, Lol. Loved the special touches you added to the video, the birds flying in the air, the ocean rushing past, and the cracks at the bottom of the round tower and then panning up. You put lots of time into this and it's amazing, TFS!!!!!

  • I'm visiting in May 2009. Thank you (in advance to (the Irish) for my intrusion to this beauty. I understand the history, and by this vid...I've never felt so drawn. Cheers. Paul, Blue Mountains Austraila.
