Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill of Simple Minds interviewed on the Channel 4 TV program "The Tube", 19th November 1982. This was the 3rd ever broadcast for The Tube (The program started 5th November 1982) which ran until 1987. Muriel Gray is interviewing Jim and Charlie.
There is also a short interview with Chris Cowey (The Tube Researcher) added to the video, who reminds us that Simple Minds had 2 drummers!!
**** This is a re-upload. The older (weaker) clip has been removed.
@dirkbogarde44 Hey! Your right! Jim Kerr became much more confident after 1982 (in my opinon). Thanks!

He was very quietly spoken and polite in those early interviews, which was so at odds with the vast musical landscapes the band created.

@YCSMusic True Steve! This interview will have taken place a few months after "New Gold Dream" album release. The performance of "New Gold Dream" on this show was superb! Cheers!

Like that bloke at the end says, they can play live superbly well, he's right. Nothing flash about SM, just an amazingly talented band who have lasted due to the quality of their music with no cheap gimmicks!
Top post Tony!!
