JW on lead vocals singing this western swing classic of Smoky Wood and his Modern Mountaineers. The song's best known for the Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen's 1973 fun cover. In fact, seems that Pappy loves both versions. Anyway, the song is a blast.

  • Awesome. My Dad played Sax on the original song in 1937.

  • Nice band. Nice cover. Rule #1: tune the slide guitar before the set. Argggh.

  • WOW!

  • The only thing I HATE about this crew is they never came to TEXAS! Wakefield attacks that steel and takes no survivors!

Saw him with Hot Club at Gruene Hall years ago and I could not sit still the whole damn gig!

  • old & fat is no way to go through life son! this cats a real gone chick magnet

  • I saw Dave Stuckey on tour back in the day with Billy Horton, Buck Johnson, Dave Biller, and JW. One of the best shows I've EVER seen!

  • HEY BARBILLA.... intenta escuchar la version de Commander Cody (dicen EVERYBODY'S FUCKIN') o la original de 1937 de THE MODERNS MOUNTAINEERS... y mearas colonia !!!

  • I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO

seen it yesterday! lets chat l4

  • I must agree with THESOUNDSOFEVANGEORG that Jeremy Wakefield is a bad ass steel player. Now that I am watching this video, I am realizing that I was right there behind stage drinking beer! SWEET!

  • Jeremy Wakefield is the great steel player
