Engr AJSM Khaled, a valiant freedom fighter in the 1971 War of Liberation, is ailing from Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma, a severe form of skin cancer. Engr. Khaled, who hails from Chittagong, is also a published author and an important figure in our RMG industry.

EARLY LIFE & THE 1971 WAR:

A brilliant student from childhood, Khaled secured second position in secondary school scholarship & also did extraordinary results in the SSC & HSC examinations. During his second year in college, the 1971 liberation war began. A boy of 18 years, Khaled like many of his time went to participate in the war, which ended in triumph for the Bengali nation and gave us a free Bangladesh. Khaled trained as a guerilla in Lower Haflong camp in Assam.

After the war, Khaled went back to his college, completed the HSC examination and enrolled in the premier technical university in the country BUET. Later he was awarded a government scholarship to pursue studies in the then USSR
