There is a bloke on my street that is obsessed with Walsall - so much so that he changed his name to Walsall. I live about 100 miles north of Walsall.
Anyway, this guy has walsall written in marker pen all over his walls. When I asked why he is so obsessed he said that he was only happy when he lived there. Sad, sad story of mental illness, but it is true. The guys name is Robert and he's a huge fella of about 30 stone. Any Walsallers remember him?

When we made this film we were young and naive. It was part of my AS level media coursework (actually it WAS my coursework, god knows how they let me hand it in). One of my good friends recorded the voiceover and being young and charmingly innocent having never been pointed out by none-black country folk that we already had quite strong walsolian accents, we decided that a ott exagerated yam yam accent would be quite funny, obviously being unaware of the intonations of our accents already.
