Ironically, Cliff Richard really is an Indian... well, 1/4 Indian... but the other kind of Indian (i.e. the ones in Asia).

Regardless of the insensitive treatment of Indians - those male dancers at the beginning of the scene are wearing some incredibly risque' outfits for televison is 1968! lol!

@dorisdayno1 actually the song is pretty racist, it's saying that anyone can be an indian if they have all that stuff they're naming in the song. Also look how dumb they make natives seem. you're just too ignorant to see it.
