Maximum performance on 5500 rpm. What is the reason on 6000 rpm?

  • 10s?

  • @TodayIMDeviL

    ~8.5sec

  • whats the top speed :)

  • @minilevrone 240km/h on speedometer)

  • hi, i have a stock bravo sport too (you can check under 40-160 km/h video). i just wanted to ask if 0-100 is faster this way, i mean that you only use till ~ 5500? have you tried to rev a bit higher? i usually shift the first 3 gears just about 6000 rpm if i sprint, so i am curious if it is better "your way".

  • @rmctwo Because it's turbo engine. It have max torque on 3000 and max power on 5000.

When you use more high rpm, you'll have lower power.

  • Let me see...NO.

This is really fast for a family car with a 1.4 litre engine.

  • yes, quite the same... i have an 8,2 for 0-100, with not the best start, but changing gears at ~ 6000 rpm.

  • @hgortermarof hmmm.. and who gives a shit?

  • mmm it cant keep up with a Renault 5 GT TURBO that has only 118BHP

    0-100kph in 7.8s

When it is tuned to 200BHP that will be 4.5 seconds

  • my yaris is faster

  • @VooDooX50 It's the torque that accelerates the car, not the power. The power is just a calculated physical size (m * omega, where in m is the torque in Newton meter and omega the angular velocity, n * 2 * pi/60; where in n is the crankshaft speed in 1/min). The result is in Watt, so divide it with 1000 and multiply it with 1.36 --> horse power as we know it.

  • hwatch?v=iE79HwXAYx4 MAX REV :D
