Alive (Never the Strangers) Drum Cover by Ryan

This is a drum cover of Alive by Never the Strangers (formerly Leonecast). As a happy and proud student of the Ateneo, it makes me extremely happy to be on campus with the a band that's taking the airwaves of the Philippines with each day that goes by. I feel particularly blessed to know at least one band member (Lead Guitar player JP del Mundo), which makes covering this song particularly special. I remember getting a digital copy of the rough mix of this song last year, and from that point on, I have not stopped listening to the song. When the band changed their name to what it is now, I was hoping that this song would be retained, and true enough, it was. Everything from seeing the original lyric video to the music video which is now enjoying some heavy viewing here on YouTube, it's just getting me so amped listening to the song that, after months and months playing along to it, I decided to finally make this cover of it. I didn't exactly do the part 100% but I just wanted to put my own feel to it. It's quite an awesome song to play along to, and the guitar solo (coming from Mr. JP del Mundo) is out of this world! This song goes out to everyone who helped me get back up when I was in a rough place. The song is the 1st single off their soon-to-be debut album. Hope you like the cover just as much as I enjoyed playing it.
