Based on this series of commercials, you would think that the perpetrators were mostly white, and a large percentage of the victims were African Americans. According to a Javelin Strategy Study, there were nearly eight times as many white victims as there were black. Offenders on the other hand painted a very different picture. 69% of offenders were black, 27% were white.
