@puterboy1 I think it was because of the route knowledge into Poland via some non electric lines and also because although Swiss and German electrics operate on 25kv overhead lines(running the SBB loco to Nuremburg was fine), Czech and Polish electric routes I think operate on a different power supply/voltage. So a diesel, under military command like the train, would be fine.

after so many years this movie still give me the creeps......they definitely new how to make a movie back then.....only with right music and good acting(not that i don't like special effects) but nowadays is all about chicks, blood and digital stuff....and no content

5:28 minute-....It is also my very favorite scene.
This scene was shocked very much. Even if it sees now, I think that it is uncanny.
A gas mask is uncanny. It is a terrorism movie.In a Hollywood film, a terrorism movie remembers the diehard of 90's.I cannot think the idea of 34 years ago.1976.Fear is felt rather than the horror picture made from CG.
6:22minute-(The sound of breathing of this gas mask is the same as breathing of Darth Vader.)gahaaa.....He is absorbed also in the sound effect.
