StepMania with Wiimote & Nunchuk

Slightly updated version of my script, which allows the use of Nunchuks as well. Now you can do doubles and jumps properly!

Is it possible to modify the script to keep the arrows pressed down when you move the wiimote around? With the current script you miss all the arrows which are expecting you to hold a key...

Have a look in the commented part of the script at the top - it says that you can hold notes (freezes) by holding the B button on the Wiimote (or Z on the nunchuk) just before doing the motion for the freeze note.

nice! does this work for stepmania in PIU mode?

I am guessing PIU is Pump It Up. In that case, unfortunately not at the current time. I may add additional functionality for Pump It Up in the future, as it shouldn't require too much of a change.

wow that is amazing and i want to try it but i don't have bluetooth in my computer :O. Wait I could install linux on my PS3 and then install all the other things and then connect the wii-motes to my PS3 with that thingy. too much work and with my short attention span i'd get bored of waving sticks in the air. But still really amazing and an awesome idea.

Hmm... PPP is the one with the motion sensors surrounding you in an octagon shape, yes? That might be a little difficult, as this doesn't work in the same plane as PPP would, and also this does not work by absolute locations. An alternative approach could be to use 2 Wiimotes and 5 (or 8 depending on mode) IR leds, arrange them in a similar fashion to the PPP frame, and then the positions can be worked out by the location of the blocked-out IR lights.

it would be cooler if you use the cross side arrows for the wiimote + nunchuck

and then make a reskin for those 2 arrows in the form of a wiimote that makes it more like the wiimote DDR ;D
