  • I use to doubt wushu as a effective "combat" art. But recently i started training with a master who does wushu and sanda. Kind of opened my eyes a little.

  • he's cool.

  • @fredocorleone47 yeah sanda gives kung fu that modern taste everyone likes. just look at cung le, hes the sh!t

  • Most Kung fu is crap but Sanda/Chinese Kickboxing is the truth very good combat system.

  • hmm thats true but any art can give you that.

  • Not exactly, it has some but they must be modified to be applied to combat. What I really meant was that wushu gives you great physical abilities which can be applied to combat. It helps develop speed, agility, and flexibility all of which are useful to any fighter. But there are others ways of gaining those attributes so wushu is not really necessary for fighting but its a good form of cross training.

  • yea lol that was too good to be tru that he did Sanshou, but ur sayng that wushu has good combat techniques?

  • i'll answer that for you.. . . . Jet lee practiced wushu. . . (the pretty version) not sanda/sanshou. So no he didn't do kickboxing but i'm sure he could have, just like anybody who has the physical ability to do all that crazy wushu stuff. I practice wushu and kickingboxing, and i must say that wushu gives you some good tools to work with. You just have to practice using them in a combat manner.

  • jet lee only practiced the form version of wushu. He never did sanda/sanshou, also most people know he was a chapion at long fist and broadsword. That has nothing to do with sanda though. Not saying he can't fight but thats not what he focused on in his training

  • Lol at 0:19+. Al is holding the Thai pads "JKD style" ie: Backwards!

  • Go wikipedia it or google for his site...i swear therz lotsa info on him and his teen wushu days....
