This is a video showing the first-time boot up of an iATKOS v1.0ir2 (10.5.1 Leopard) hackintosh installation...

Tutorial for Darken XIII:

Hey DarkenXIII,

there are so many installation guides over the web, you should be able to find one and follow the steps provided. What kinda error are you gettin' if you try to boot from your HD? Are there any error messages or just the blinkin cursor? Managing flags with Gparted doesn't work sometimes for some kind of reason I can't explain. GParted displays the falgs as changed but in fact they are unchanged. Try the following:

1. Start up a fresh installation
2. Create a new HFS+ partition
3. Set partition type to 'Master Boot Record'
4. After partition has been created quit setup and reboot into GParted
5. Set all flags of your HFS+ partiton unactive
6. Click 'Apply'
7. Now set the 'boot' flag
8. Restart your computer into Mac OS X setup
9. Configure your installation (I recommend EFI bootloader and your required drivers only - no tweaks) and start it.
10. After setup has been finished restart into GParted. It is very important that you don't allow Mac OS X to boot up! Again set the 'boot' flag.
11. Reboot into Mac OS X. Your installation should work fine!

  • hi there.. I've installed it, but when it finishes, doesn't restart automatically.. I have to do it manualy.. and after that, when gets to the first boot.. keeps on loading for a while, and then the screen turns black and the monitor light starts blinking... any help please?

  • Press F8 while booting and then type "-v". Tell me where it stops...

  • Mine stops where its looking for the kernel when you press -v

    Jettisoning Kernel linker

if skip it it just loads the apple screen and nothing else.

Im running on 4200+ DUAL CORE AMD ATHLON

  • Are you sure you used a AMD-specific release?

  • @crashbandicoot4everr Room 5- Make luv. Late answer btw.

  • whats the name of the song!

  • I remember when I first installed this. I started to see the video play, and I was like ":D!!!". Lol.

  • I wonder how Apple chooses music for their official OS releases ;o.

  • @Bennie050799 yes cause it's a mac on a PC called Hackintosh and not Macintosh. I'll do this tomorrow if i have time today to backup everything and burn Mac OS X 10.5.2 on a DVD and Vista on another and run both with boot camp!

  • This not the orginal apple- music

  • FAKE or is it

  • i got this far but my video was distorted and not able to see anything but can hear the song playing. i have a raydeon ati 512mb on xps 1640

  • This song is so epic. I have to use Kalyway, so Kaly only uses the default Mac boot song. Ima try and edit the iso I use for Kaly and replace it with this song (make Luv - Room 5 - Feat oliver cheetham) I L0OVE THIS SONG!!
