On God Mode you are lucky if you can do the grapple without either getting hit or engaging in combat so that slows you down a bit. I don't know, 45 seconds? I'm not really sure.

I tried it without the ledge and found it more difficult and unreliable.

I'm so glad you've posted all these easier ways to do satvara's skips. For someone like me (i'm better at combat than platforming), it's great to see how to do it without needing to be good at accurate jumping (like satvara).

I'm glad I could help. That's why I've posted the different versions of these skips. I know I've struggled with some of them so I figured the easier versions would be of interest to others.

Speedrunners are crazy. I mean, big up nuff respect and I am all for showcasing ones skills but spending more time perfecting a trick than it saves you IMO crazy. But then again I am insain so what do I know?

I discovered this method while doing a normal run. I don't typically set out to do something until I figure it out, I just get to a certain segment and see if I can figure out a skip for it. Or something will just come to me when I'm not playing, like the new regenerating magic exploit and I want to see if it works or not. Its not hard work or anything. If I can figure out a good skip, great! If not, I move on - no big deal.

I don't have time to play either one as much as I want, but I've been playing GoW1 recently to find new skips (mostly with Artemis) and improve upon known skips. Have you seen my newest method to skip in the Athens Square? No upgrades needed.
