We had decided to create our on cider mill this year to generate apple cider. We attached a 3/4 hp garbage disposal to a stainless steel dual basis sink to grind the apples into a mash. Then the apples were pressed in a fruit press. The grinder did a great job grinding up the apples to maximize our cider yield. The apples are from Joe's Apple Orchard. The mixture of apples made a great cider!

  • Did the food grinder overheat at all?

  • @koolaidkidz67 It had overheated once. We normally did not have it running more than 10 minutes before the bucket was full and we would give the grinder a break.

  • Where's the part where you gave it the taste test? Any good?

  • @thewaltster LOL, we actually did have video of us drinking it. But I must not have included it in this abbreviated video. Wait til you see what we have planned for the apples in the Fall of 2010!
