@frylock44 for the record I'm an armed security guard and I work with LE ALL of the time on any given night I can be spotted side by side with a town officer bs-ing or giving-getting perp info..never once did i ever get so much as questioned about it. because as you know lights are legal for use on private property..99% of the time I only use the take downs and alley's, again for the record

just like you can't be charged with impersonation unless you have the words police sheriff or the like or pull someone over

that's the impersonation line drawn in the sand

you can't even get a ticket for a lightbar unless they catch you on the street lit up without just cause and a permit

wanna bet money on that? I have a crown vic unmarked with a lightbar that shows clear when off (not lit up) I run the car not only on highway but all over adjoining towns in my area..never been stopped in fact most LEO'S just wave at me.

now if your a goober and think that just because you have a lightbar you can act like an ass and speed etc then I can see there might be an issue as well there should be hella lightbars are legal on jeeps as long as they aren't lit on the street

@ishredu Listen up dumbass know your LOCAL laws regarding lighting on vehicles. In the state of Georgia this lightbar would not be legal for on road use on an unmarked vehicle that is not affiliated with a government or private agency with legal clearance to use it. You might be able to get away with having it on your car but you will be hassled by every cop you see.

anyhow every state is different but the one constant is clear or amber clear is allowed and legal for civilians
