On this historic day, I pedaled to the L.A. Live complex downtown in time to watch Barack Obama become the 44th President of the United States and then give his inaugural speech. The route I then pedaled to work included a stretch of Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard where I stopping to give some kibble to an abandoned pit bull (while a homeless lady told me not to feed it). Later on I was crowded on Sepulveda by an SUV with Nevada plates driven by what I'm thinking was a pissed off McCain voter who maybe didn't like the red, white and blue jersey I was wearing in celebration of such an historic day.
