Harry Bollasockyarn's travelogue concludes with highlights of Sock Summit, held in July, 2011 in Portland, Oregon. Harry spoke with knitters and vendors, braved a marketplace stampede and bopped around during the dress rehearsal for the now-famous Sock Yarn Flash Mob. If you enjoy this video (and its companions - Episode 1, and the Transatlantic Intermezzo), you might like to visit Franklin's blog, The Panopticon, at the-panopticon.blogspot.com.

  • *L* The dance sequences...More embarrassing than The Dr. Oz show.

    :^)

  • @BeStrixed But...why? The amount of joy in that room was astounding. Why be embarrassed at all to be a part of something so joyous? Dancing is too wonderful to be left to dancers.

  • @franklinhabit

I guess I'm not that funny :) It was a joke. More a joke at the Oz show, really. didn't mean to offend. If I'd have been there, I'd probably have been swept up in the revelry, myself ;^)

  • @BeStrixed No offense taken at all! I was only sorry to think you might have been in the scene and felt embarrassed to have been dancing on camera. Glad to hear that's not the case :)

  • Wow you weren't kidding that you got my rear end on film...:)

  • When will we here about the Oscar nomination, there could even be a new catergories: "Wool inspired flm making" !!

  • Harry, your videos are Da Bomb! What with the anticipation of the market opening, the mob scene, the homage to the horror genre with the whole scissors thing, the happy ending with the Sock Yarn Getting The Girl (and Clara is a lovely leading lady, by the way), I think you are skirting Oscar terriotory here. You might have to edit out Franklin's nude scene to preserve your PG rating though . . .

  • Great job, Harry. I'm looking forward to you next videos. I hope you have that clip of Clara automatically play every time you open your editing software.

  • Thanks for the travel videos Harry! They are delightful, it was great to get a taste of two great knitting events and the Queen Mary! Please keep up the great videos!

  • Nice work, Harry. More, please!

  • Yes please Harry! More film...more fun. We love you!
