You got it! This is an affordable Carto Punch, that you can easily make yourself, or keep as is store bought, all up to you. This is the way I use my tap, and I LOVE IT.

Brand Name : Watts
MFG Model # : A-50
MFG Part # : 17000050
You can go to Lowe's or Home Depot [both $6.68 each], or any hardware store and find a ¼" Brass Self-Tapping Saddle Valve. It's used on refrigerators, ice machines, or anything that requires a tapping valve... and any size of wood you would like to use. I am going to be making another one, with a larger pc so I can easily make markers for each style of tank I use, so I don't have to mark each ind. carto :) No more rolling cartos, books, using condoms to mark, metal shavings or shards, banging nails or fingers... SIMPLE, CHEAP, and DOES THE JOB FAST!

If you don't like my video, please don't leave any nasty comments! My fans, viewers and friends DO NOT care if I look 12, if I look like a shim, if I'm male or female, if I'm gay or any of the bullshit. We're here for VAPING, not to criticize others to fill your self-esteem issues. FACT: I'm happy the way I am. I am a 31 yr old grown ass woman, who shouldn't have to sit and remove comments because people live on douche canoes. Grow up or get off my channel :)

PEACE, LOVE, and VAPING!
~Shan

  • Sorry if this is a stupid question, I don't hang out much on the boards but why do you punch the carto?

  • @o0BeadFreak0o you punch it for tank systems, for juice/air flow

  • Lowes has 2 the one u have and one in the gas line section it has nuts on the bolts not the threaded strap and i think it last longer imo good vid tho

  • @34iamtopher I'm going to buy parts and try to make my own, see if I can't get something more solid vs the brass. TY Topher

  • This is WAY GREAT! Cept I have been using these saddle valves for months to punch my cartos and they DO get dull and unusable after a while.

  • @Keefer2112 GTK :) I'll sharpen it with my dremel, replace the tip, or just buy a new one if it's beyond that point, but I have ideas to change out the tapping tip with something longer lasting [steel or carbide]... the website does say this is only stainless/chrome plated brass, which would explain why it gets dull after some use.

  • And as a suggestion if you dont want the punch to stay in place. Buy a bottle of red loctite and put that on the theds and then thred it in and let is sit over night. I should hold it in place.

  • WOW you come up with some really odd ideas and some wierd ways of doing stuff. And yet i find myself trying everything u make. And that coming from a fellow tinkerer. A HUGE THUMBS UP FOR SHAN.

  • Sweet.. Will be picking up one tomorrow for sure.. I currently have bench vice, and I put a gap of 1/4" between the sides, and lay my catro length wise on it, and use a nail/hammer. It works pretty good because it keeps it pretty steady, but this looks sooo much easier...

  • Great Video!!!

  • Thanks Shan, Picked one of these up today and it works perfectly.

  • Shan you are so awesomely smart. :)
