@muscaverde Hi have defy 2.2.2 as well an i want to root it to a 2.3.7 .I have read a lot of stuff but i keep getting confused.If it is not too much could send the exact links and steps to download. Please give link to original ROM(JEM_3.4.3-36-1.7) along wid software to download on computer followed by actually cyn 7.1 zip which wud work for my defy . mine is a SOC lens(green)...my system version is-- 3.4.3-36-1.7-SEA15

I had cancelled my plan on buying defy+..currently I have defy mb525 v2.2.2 and rooted with superoneclick and ready to install this cyanogenmod :)

@92ReapingIT Is there no reception at all (emergency calls only)? Then I'd try to switch the baseband with the Defy Baseband Switcher.

Hello, thanks again for your great work, I just did install 2.3.7 on my defy and it works fine, but I still have a question, how in the earth can I assign different ringtones to different contacts? I searched in edit contacts but I wasn't able to find anything, do I need some other application? Thanks again, wish you the best

@muscaverde If the different ringtones for individual contacts isn't built in in CM7.1 you have to use an app for that ;)
I would recommend Go Contacts (Ex), free in the market which makes it very easy. Simply open the contact you wish and you can directly select the ringtone just for the selected contact (Just tried it, it works). You can use the app as a total replacement of the standard contacts app or just for this one feature.
