7-8 years ago when in middleschool we made these but we quadrupled up the ruber band so about 1/4 the size and hooked it on the back of the pencil making it superior to this (you know you do it right when you can only pull the "hammer" back 2-3" MAX not 5-6" like here). Back then we would measure the power by how many pieces of paper a piece of rubber could break through at once. they could do 3+ easy. this didnt break a napkin. you could improve it
