  • Imagined, you are right about the French kings. The model between the French and English monarchies was very different. Starkey's comment really speaks to the much sounder British model of leadership.

  • @opfors At minutes 00:10-00:12 Starkey says a word i perceive as "nay bulance" Never hear this word before! the word I know is "nebulance", but that's certainly not the word he said! Coild you help me out? Thanks in advance! ;-)))))

  • @Rotebuehl1 the word is neighborliness.

  • Oh dear - he's a statist. (As if neighbourliness can't exist alongside capitalism.)

  • @324wilson Ooooh diddums !!!!!!

  • @CoolCollectableToys Rather then wasting time with you and write another comment, I will just copy and paste as to what I wrote in my earlier comment, "If you are thinking of replying then don't waste your time with this nonsesne. If you have something valuable to say then go on. Alas, I don't think that you have ever said anything useful."

And sorry if I am being a pedant but it should be "Frightfully good (comma) don't you think old chap ! (question mark)."

You can't win! Just give up!

  • @324wilson AT the epoch which I write of quite the smartest men in town

    Were Marmaduke de Coucy and Adolphus Brummel-Brown;

They led the trend of fashion in the very highest set,

They were recognized authorities on form and etiquette. Frightfully good don't you think old chap !

  • @CoolCollectableToys Oh, Did I forget to add "DEAR CHAP"?

Sorry, old chap (yes, I even love the works of P.G Wodehouse.).

  • @CoolCollectableToys Firstly, if you were trying to be funny, it didn't work. If you were trying to be educational, it most certainly didn't work since you didn't have anything to say on the institution itself.

And yes, my dinner parties are "frightfully exciting." Oh, yes... I forgot... DEAR CHAP!

PS. If you are thinking of replying then don't waste your time with this nonsesne. If you have something valuable to say then go on. Alas, I don't think that you have ever said anything useful.

  • @324wilson Thought so ...my point exactly.. Your dinner parties must be frightfully exciting dear chap, what, with all these tremendous educational videos of the Her Majesty...'God Save The Queen' old chap...

  • @CoolCollectableToys And as for being "brave"... of course, people like such as yourself have such high intellect on YouTube that I am not only astounded but also intimidated. (*sarcasm* - just so you know.).

  • @CoolCollectableToys You of course don't know me at all. I don't really care about your opinions are. Many of my friends are republicans. I, myself, am an atheist. If your browse through my videos, you will find republican comments but those republicans who have a legitimate point(s). I do not, however, allow profanity or anything of the sort on my videos, even my monarchists. And as for "undemocratic," I would love to debate with you on the subject.

  • @324wilson The problem with you 324wilson is that you are like the Royals...undemocratic...won't let anyone make a comment on a video you have uploaded without it 'pending for approval'...unless of course its from ass licking royalists. Why don't you be brave and let the world have their view point on how they feel about the Royals..but no not you. You only like postive ass licking royalist comments to make your world feel good and safe.
