Check out this 1964 Amphicar on its maiden voyage after being restored and out of commission for more than 25 years. Gordon Hall of Milton-Freewater is the driver with Paul Seaquist as the passenger. The trip happened in Wallowa Lake, Oregon during the summer of 2009.

  • Problem floodings?

  • That rocks!!! I remember seeing this in your garage. Glad to see it being used the way it was meant to be used : )

  • What's wrong with that car? Was is not mechanically sound??

  • Way back in '65 or so my father took my mother and me out on one of those down here on the Potomac River, just outside of Washington, DC. I still remember the big ol' rooster tail...of course I was only 5 so EVRYTHING seemed huge. I do remember being very uneasy and thankful of making landfall again as I couldn't swim and I thought, at the ripe old age of 5, that in case things went wrong, that skill might come in kinda handy...

  • sounds like only 3 of the 4 cylinders are at work

  • I love the music you chose. Great video. Also, good decision to speed up the video. It keeps the pacing from getting boring.

  • THATS FREAKIN AWESOME! They still make those right? That would be SO COOL!!!

  • Nice concept, I came up with the idea a while back, but apparently someone came up with it already :-)
