Hi and welcome back to the 3ds Max series for beginners. In part 10 I will show you a fun and easy modeling method called Boolean.

Although this is an easy way to model, it may not be the best idea to use it for everything. The wire frame often gets cut in funky positions. So I recommend you simply practice up with it, and get the idea of how it works. Add it to your arsenal of modeling techniques....but don't depend on it too much. **Sometimes geometry just doesn't like Boolean...therefore some weird corruptions may happen. So again, although this is an easy and fun tool, try to think of alternatives to get the same result.

  • creeper eyes :D

  • A very good tutorial, and also very beginner friendly; however I have the problem with more complex objects - boolean 'corrupts' them when I subtract or union, and that really is a huge inconvenience. Is there another way to unify/subtract some objects without getting the polygons in a twist?

  • really a great way to explain....n make it very easy for learner...thanx a lot
