@xwrathchild09 I am not sure if this is hard evidence for you or not, but countries like Turkey, and the arab world enjoyed all their glorious days under Islam, but Persia suffered under Islam for the most part. Infact, a stable turkish or arab country didn't even exist before Islam, where as Iran (persia) already went through 3 major empires by the time Islam came about. Therefore, many young Iranians deeply hate Islam where as turks and arabs have a sense of pride attached to the religion.

@rs2n4 - any evidence to prove that? NO. The recent referendum in Turkey proves that half of Turks are still FIERCELY secular. Secular Turks do not want the EU, we want to live in a secular, democratic state with equal rights for everyone.
