Did they removed the flames completely from the game, or did they just disable the effect from happening?

They took them off. They though they were too distracting.

osu takes more room to put flames. like It doesn't tell u how much Beat u had after all those color u finished in a row. y osu has less songs.

To be honest, I think EBA is better without the fire... you can see the background better that way.

This is the first demo of the game, from E3. They took the flames out before they released the final game because of framerate issues.

I thought they took the flames out because of how much space they would take up. From videos I've seen, they didn't have any framerate issues in Ouendan.
