A plate heat exchanger has a very high "heat exchange" rate, not "heat recovery" rate.

@falacomleo Get / google the online service manual...and follow the 'Truth / Faultfinding Table' to locate possable faults...as there should be a guide to take you through how to recharge your system...

Great video. Very informative. Thanks.
hi james,
weve had a brand new Ideal Isar HE30 boiler for about 4 yrs and its been trouble free till now.
the hot water is still coming thru the taps but the central heating has stopped working. on the screen it has status = C and the blue burner light is blinking constantly. any advice on what the problem could be and if a diy fix is possible would much appreciated ?
thanks

@PROXIMASTARMAN Ok, when you open the hot tap do you hear a click from the boiler? It does sound like an engineer is going to need to have a look at it. It can be anything from a diverter valve to furred up heat exchanger. Let me know how you get on! regards PP

@benny5825 Hi Benny, sorry for the late reply. I'm going to cover that part in another video. I just wanted to cover the hot water side as I'm constantly getting asked about it! Thanks for keeping me on my toes however and please subscribe. Regards James
