I understand that the gay community wants the right to same-sex marriage, but I don't understand why they demonize politicians who don't agree with it. If a politician cites his/her reasons for not voting for or vetoing a gay marriage bill on the basis of religion, then the gay community needs to respect his/her views and not condemn them for it. It seems as if religion no longer gets respect in this country anymore. Pathetic!
