@ shapokliyak...Listen Up Hot Shot!!! The truck owner has 10 kids and can't afford a new truck but Obama's solutuion is to go into debt like he is doing with this country. Obama mentioned drilling but he also said it wouldn't lower gas prices anytime soon which is wrong. Speculators drive up the price overnight and they would drive the price down overnight if an aggressive drilling program was announced...look it up.. and I make my statements before I drink. You are as flawed as your logic.

Anybody who thinks high gas prices will help move us to alternative energy is DUMB. Let's use Supply and Demand. We have the demand and the Supply, we just need to tap are own resources. We need to issue drilling permits here to U.S. Co.'s, not Brazilian ones, with the condition that companies invest X dollars into alternative energy R&D. Hybrid/Electric Cars are not affordable or practical today. Drill today as a Stop Gap for alternative energy in the next 10 years.

Oil Prices are controlled by speculators and the market is controlled by emotion now more than ever, if you announced a plan to aggressively drill in the U. S., that alone would drive the price down tomorrow.
