The three-finger dragging on Apple's new Magic Trackpad is very clever; you can actually (briefly) lift your fingers repeatedly from the trackpad during a drag to reposition your hand, without 'dropping' the drag. This makes Magic Trackpad a legitimate mouse replacement, even for large/multi-screen setups.
It works because Magic Trackpad waits a moment after you lift your fingers, before it actually terminates the drag (by sending a mouse-up event, presumably). It's a typically Apple-like touch, making the trackpad usable for even vast screens.
I was going to pick one of these up tomorrow. Should be nice on my 27". THe only thing I worry about is the battery life.. The Magic Mouse that I have is very hungry for batteries. I had to toss it in the drawer cause I didn't want to feed it 6$ worth of batteries every month

I’ve been dragging across multiple large screens with Apple trackpads for ages… that 3-finger-touch thing seems a little obtuse, but then again, maybe I’m just too used to one-finger-hold-and-one-finger-drag.
