New Super Mario bros (both on DS and Wii) is proof there is still strong demand for retro style side scrollers, Sonic has never really worked properly in 3D, like Mega man and Castlevania a lot of people think Sonic works best in a 2D format, look at the sales of the Advance and DS versions! Sonic is coming home and its about time.
